Hello everyone! Welcome to Ruchkar Mejwani with Sonali Tiffin special.
Kids love eating desserts..
..thats why I am going to show you Ananas Sheera i.e. Pineapple Sheera.
I have kept 2 cups of water on heat, as we need to add boiling water to sheera..
..along with that I have heated a pan. I am going to add clarified butter in it..
..I am going to saute pineapple in it. And, I am going to add some sugar in it.
I am going to take about 12 tsp ghee (clarified butter).
And, I am adding 1 cup pineapple in it. And 1 tsp sugar.
Now, lets remove the pineapple.
Now, in the same pan we will add ghee. we will be roast semolina a bit..
..I have taken 14th cup ghee here.
I'll add 1 cup semolina. It's regular semolina that we use for making Sheera.
We have to roast it nicely in ghee..
..the semolina was pre-roasted but, roasting in ghee gives a nice flavour.
..that's why I am roasting it again.
The semolina is nicely roasted and a nice aroma is released.
Water has boiled. We will be pouring boiling water in the semolina.
Lets cover it. So that, the semolina puffs well and cooks nicely.
The semolina is nicely cooked.
Lets add 1 cup sugar in it.
1 tsp cardamom powder.
You can add dry fruits as much as you want. These are chopped dry fruits.
I have taken cashews, almonds and pistachios.
I am taking saffron. I had soaked saffron in milk for 15-20 mins..
..I am going to add it. Lets put everything.
Lets mix it a bit.
And, now lets add pineapple in this.
We have to mix this nicely.
Now, keep the stove on a medium flame..
..cover it with a lid, and let it cook for 5 mins until the sugar melts.
After 5 Minutes.
5 mins have passed. Lets check whether our sheera is ready.
It has turned out really good.
The sugar has melted as well.
And a nice aroma of saffron and pineapple is lingering.
Lets switch off the stove and plate it.
When giving it in a tiffin, allow it to cool down. So that, it doesn't become soggy.
Our Pineapple Sheera is ready!
During mango season you can use mangoes instead of pineapple..
..surely try it and give it to your kids in tiffin. Let me know the feedback.

Cardamom Powder 1 cup Dryfruits, chopped Saffron strands soaked in milk for 15-20 minutes Method:- - Heat ghee in a wok and saute pineapple and sugar in it. - In the same wok, add ¼ cup ghee again and roast semolina in it and add boiling water to it. - Cover with a lid and cook until semolina is cooked. - Now add 1 cup Sugar, cardamom powder, dry fruits, saffron soaked milk and pineapple. Mix well. - Turn the flame to low and cook covered with a lid for 5 minutes. Pineapple Sheera is ready to eat! HAPPY COOKING!!!
